Jeremy. It's fantastic. Go the Distance is one of the best Disney songs of all time

It came out right around the time I thought I was "too old" for Disney animated films. (I was 11.) 😂

My favorite Disney movie ever. Of all time. Period. Some of this I have thought about before but you have opened my eyes to some of these for sure. The Lady Cluck stuff. Man they missed an opportunity with her and Alan A Dale for sure. I love the Pat Buttram/George Lindsey combo. Great in this movie and just as great, if not better, as the hound dogs in the Aristocats.

Oh yeah, I love that they reused a lot of the same actors for other animated films. We turned on The Fox And The Hound right after this and immediately recognized Buttram's voice there too!

Agreed, but it's been nice to hear a similar sentiment from a lot of folks! (And thank you for that paid subscription, brother!)

I guess we had to wait until Plague Dogs to get that Butch Cassidy ending in a cartoon.

How have I never seen this? And it's the same director that did Watership Down!? Wow. Adding to my watchlist immediately. Thank you!

It's intense and darker than Watership Down (same author, too!). Don't look up anything else about the story!

Feels a little like the Come and See of animal movies.

About 20 years ago, I watched it the same week that our 12-year-old lab died. Not one of my best decisions.

Wow. This sounds amazing. I'll try to watch it before my 11-year-old pit bull leaves the mortal realm. 😂

Wolf makes sense.

It does, based on the history of fairy tales and children's stories. But I wish wolves weren't always the villains!
