I SO relate to the mental dysfunction side of this tale. There are few things I won't sit through to my own detriment. On the whole, I can always find SOMETHING to enjoy about any given turd. Maybe it's a performance, maybe it's the setting, the tone, bewildered by the fact that it somehow got green-lit and made, or just the complete stupidity of it all. But for those I squirm through agonizingly ticking away the minutes, my OCD takes over and says you MUST do this. Failure is not an option. And the reward? ...that little carrot of checking it off on a list that no one will ever read. Though I prefer to undauntedly plow through my schlock in one sitting, sometimes it's just absolutely impossible. And for those, as you, I chip away at the rock bit by agonizing bit as I can muster the strength.

For more bat shit terribleness... Chosen Survivors. No pain - no gain.

See that's the thing. I think it's quite admirable to see the best in a bad piece of art! I just need to watch less bad art on purpose I guess.

2. As someone who said "fuck it" at 29 and moved more than 500 miles kind of on a whim, I think "middle age" is dependent on your perceived life expectancy and also that mid-life crises are real and can be baller if you let 'em be

3. If you need a last-minute pinch-hitter, John can totally tag me in

I'm actually really looking forward to my mid-life crisis (unless it already happened and I didn't realize it and it wasn't fun)!

Also don't tempt me, I will send you newsletter drafts at 11:00pm on a Thursday night...

So it's crap? I'm a big fan of bats (the actual animal) and would hate to see them demonized. 😂

Oh it's pretty much guano, but I don't think it demonizes bats too much. These are scientifically modified bats (not even rabies carriers), so they're blameless as far as their aggressiveness goes. And a la Jaws, the main character is a chiropterologist, so I'd say it's pro-bats, even.
