I was eleven/twelve when I saw it and fell in love with Michael Keaton. Wrote him a letter to wait for me, when I turned 18. Chickened out and didn’t mail it. Loved him as Beetlejuice. Those eyebrows were meant for Batman.

Oh man, I bet he would've LOVED that letter. 😂 I hope you kept it somewhere!

I full remember the h8 that Keaton received, both professionally and personally amongst my peers. To coin a phrase from the Joker: Who has the last laugh?

No kidding. I think his performances have aged better than anyone who came after him.

He actually cut many lines of dialogue because he felt Batman would monologize.

Smart man. I love that Burton was willing to let him cook.

Springsteen is hot and Jay-Z is not, right???

All due respect to Hova for his talents, but his looks are not his strength. 😂

In a career filled with them, one of Chris Rock’s most accurate observations.

Val is also my Batman. I’m reading his autobiography right now and it’s wonderful. If the villains in Forever hadn’t been so over-the-top (not to mention a problematic Robin), I think it could’ve been one of the best.

I finally watched his documentary earlier this year. He was the realest. What a wonderful gift he left us with after toting a camcorder around for decades.

I haven't seen Batman Forever in years, but over-the-top villains at least track with Burton's Joker and Penguin, right? I hate to blame Schumacher because I really am a fan, but maybe he just wasn't right for the material.

They were over the top, but in a different way. It was Joel’s fault for sure.
